What Evlat collects

Evlat is a Mac app and this website. The app collects nothing about you. The website measures how it is visited. This page says exactly what each one does.

The app

No telemetry
No account, no analytics, no crash reports. Evlat never reports whether or how you use it.
Stays on your Mac
Session names, their status, the commands they are waiting on and your usage limits are shown on the bar and nowhere else. Hooks and the evlat command deliver them to Evlat over a socket in your home folder, which only your user can open and which cannot be reached from another computer.
Updates
Every hour Evlat asks GitHub whether a newer version exists, and downloads it from GitHub: in the background unless you turn off automatic updates in Settings. GitHub sees those requests and your IP address, as with any download.
Chat balloon
The balloon runs your own Claude Code (claude -p) on your Mac. What you type there goes to Anthropic under your Claude Code account, exactly as it would from your terminal. Evlat itself sends it nowhere.
Remote machines
A server you add is reached over your own ssh. Its sessions travel from the server to your Mac through that connection and nowhere else.

This website

Analytics
The site uses PostHog, hosted in the EU. Its requests go through this site’s own /relay path before reaching PostHog.
No cookies
Nothing is written to your browser’s cookies or storage for analytics. Each visit stands alone and is not joined to earlier visits or to a profile.
What is recorded
The pages you view, clicks (including the Download and GitHub links), page performance, your browser and device type, the page that sent you here, and your IP address, which is used to estimate your country and city.
Session replay
Visits may be recorded as a replay of how the page was used: scrolling, clicks, pointer movement and the browser console. Text typed into fields is masked. Recordings are kept for 30 days.
Downloads
Each download is counted on the server before you are sent to GitHub: the time, your IP address, the referring page and your browser’s user agent, under a random identifier.
Hosting
The site runs on Cloudflare, which keeps its own request logs.
Use
This data is used only to understand how the site is used. It is not sold and not used for advertising.
