What works where
Evlat tracks four agents through the hooks and plugin it installs for you, and finds the app each session runs in. Here is what you get with each one, as of the current release.
Agents
| Turns amber when it waits | Answer from the bar | Usage limits | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Claude CodeAllow or deny a permission prompt once, or answer a question, on your Mac or on a server. Bar or terminal, your first answer counts. | yes | yes | yes |
| CodexOn a server: allow or deny a permission prompt once. Codex waits for the bar, two minutes at most. On your Mac you answer in the terminal. | yes | server | yes |
AntigravitySends no event when it asks for approval. Usage comes from the agy CLI, so it’s approximate (~). |
no | no | CLI |
OpenCodeAllow or deny a permission prompt once, on your Mac or on a server; a question is answered in OpenCode. Works in the terminal, opencode run, the desktop app and 2.0’s background service, where Go to session picks the tab by its folder. |
yes | yes | no |
| Claude Code in a Docker sandboxYou answer in the sandbox’s terminal. | yes | no | no |
Your agent isn’t here? Ask for it. Anything else you run, a build, a test suite or a deploy, shows up with evlat watch.
Docker sandboxes
Claude Code in a local Docker sandbox (sbx) runs in a VM of its own, out of reach of the hooks on your Mac. Turn on Settings → Docker sandboxes → Watch sandboxes and Evlat sets up each sandbox itself as it starts. Its sessions join the bar, tagged with the sandbox’s name.
herdr
herdr keeps your agents in panes across workspaces and tabs, under a server no terminal owns. Go to session asks that server which pane holds the session and selects it, then brings the terminal forward: on this Mac, behind ssh or sbx run, on a server, or through herdr --remote.
Nothing to set up. When the pane can’t be selected, the card’s button says Open herdr in … instead.
Terminals and editors
Go to session finds the app a session runs in and brings it forward, with no permissions asked. How far in it goes depends on the app.
To its tab
Opens the very tab or pane the session runs in.
To the app
Brings the right window forward; you pick the tab. In Terminal and Ghostty that takes a permission Evlat doesn’t ask for.

Nowhere to go
No app holds the session; its card says so.
